Our company was founded in Brooklyn in the year 2000. It was called Striving for Better Days because of poverty stricken and a drug infested neighborhood where I introduced the business. I, George Almodovar the CEO of Better Days, wanted to inspire prosperity and bring hope to our neighborhood, and show individuals that they too can realize the American Dream. That there is still hope for those whom want to succeed in life and accomplish this through legal means. We helped revitalize the neighborhood and introduced FHA programs that were and are still available to minorities and first time home buyers. We also helped people to remove deragatory information off their credit reports and helped them to understand their credit ratings. We assisted individuals, such as myself, in obtaining financing and realizing home ownership that were not available through conventional banks unless guaranteed by the government, through FHA programs such as FHA203K loans. These programs, allow average Americans to obtain financing with only 3% down compared to 20% needed to qualify financing through conventional banks. Furthermore, this helped revitalize my neighborhood because it gave low income individuals pride of ownership. Inturn, people took better care of the neighborhood and made it their business to keep drugs out, and keep the streets clean. These loans also helped fix properties that were abandoned and in disrepair, and were an eyesore to the community. This also increased job productions and purchases to improve these buildings. I am glad to have been a part of that, and I myself took advantage of these programs that were available to me. I enjoy helping people maybe because of my upbringing, being the son of a minister and attending church 7 days a week, or because I was once homeless with my wife and lived in an abandoned building. I know what it's like to struggle in life and live in poverty with no hope or dreams for the future. I know how easy it is to get involve with drugs, or the wrong crowd, because of the neighborhood that you are exposed to. I thank God that I didn't become another statistic, but I owe that to my dad and his religious beliefs that kept me away from all that. Although, my father is no longer with us, I still like to help out people in any way I can; I strongly believe that I got those values from him. I truly believe that you have to be grateful (one of the secrets to success) for what you have received by God, nature, the universe, what ever suits you; and that it is our duty to give --out of our abundance-- to the less fortunate, the elderly, fatherless children, or simply, someone in need of our help. So, that been said, if you need any help, contact us and see how we can assist you. We have a great team of experts in all fields, including real-estate, financing, construction, asset protection, litigation, et cetera, so give us a try and I assure you that you will not be disappointed. In addition, for a mere donation of your choice --10% of your donation will go towards charity-- you can advertise on our website and our brochures, which is currently in over 100 locations in Staten Island and soon on MTA buses. We advertise businesses, houses for sale, and apartment and/or rooms for rent. soon we will also have classified ads. Check out our website, which is close to completion. For those business owners whom are skeptical about sponsoring us, please note that times are tough and so much tougher it is to less fortunate countries. Please, out of your kindness of your hearts, log on to charitable organizations such as World Vision, Feed the Children and numerous others, and give anything you can to help others whom are less fortunate. We will also have an on line forum to further educate the public regarding credit and/or repairs. Remember, Together as a whole, united we grow. Best wishes to all. Sincerely, George Almodovar CEO of Better Days, Inc. |
